This one-handed operation was not needed on smaller iPhones; but when Apple decided to launch larger screens, Reachability was needed to avoid two-handed use. In this tutorial, we will deal with how users can use Reachability on iPhone 8, 8 Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 6(s) and 6(S) Plus.
You can turn on and Off Reachability on iPhone with screen size of 4.7 and 5.5 inches while using any app on your device. While using your iPhone with one hand, your thumb cannot reach every icons, buttons or apps on the screen. By using Reachability on iPhone, users can operate their phones with one hand.
How to Enable Reachability on iPhone
To use one-handed operation on your iPhone, you need to turn on this Reachability feature on your device.
Step #1: Open Settings on your phone.
Step #2: Now tap on General.
Step #3: Next, you need to tap on Accessibility.
Step #4: Under Interaction section, you will find Reachability option; simply toggle this Reachability ON.
How to Disable Reachability on iPhone
Just in case you want to turn Off this Reachability feature on your device.
Step #1: Open Settings on your phone.
Step #2: Tap on General.
Step #3: Now tap on Accessibility.
Step #4: Toggle Reachability option OFF.
How to Use One-Handed Operation on iPhone
Step #1: Once you have enabled Reachability, you can use it on any app you are on. Simply double tap the Home button; remember, you don’t have to press the button, just tap the Home button twice gently. This action will bring down entire app frame on your device, and you can quickly access any app with your thumb while you hold your device with one hand.
Step #2: You can go back to normal mode by double tapping the Home button. Alternatively, just don’t do anything for couple of seconds and your phone will get back to the normal mode again.
