How to Install Fuchsia OS On Your Android Phone

Keep innovating. This is the mantra Google has always adopted. And the result is Fuchsia OS, which is currently being developed by Google only to replace Android and Chrome OS (fingers crossed). Google has updated Fuchsia OS with a User Interface, and therefore, you can try Fuchsia OS on your Android devices. So, go ahead and install Fuchsia OS on Android Phone.

The User Interface (UI) of Fuchsia OS is called Armadillo, and it is made available for public for the first time. It was Kyle Bradshaw, who brought this Armadillo to our attention. There is a remarkable difference between Android and Fuchsia; the former is based on Linux kernel, while the latter one is going to be Google’s own microkernel ‘Magenta’. Now get ready and install Google Fuchsia OS on Android device.

How to Install Google Fuchsia OS on Android Phone

All you need is an APK file installed on your smartphone. Bradshaw has done an excellent job by compiling a demo of Armadillo UI into an APK file. Follow the steps given below:

Step #1: Before you download an APK file, you need to enable installation from unknown sources. Launch Settings→ Security→ Unknown Sources.

Step #2: Next, you need to download Armadillo APK file. This download won’t take much of your time as the file size is around 15MB.

The two steps comprise everything. Next, you will be experiencing Fuchsia’s Armadillo UI on your Android smartphone. You should run the app and check what this demo offers you. You would feel like you are using a dummy unit because you cannot open almost any function with your taps except the visual beauty. You can watch the video of Kyle Bradshaw to get an overview of Fuchsia OS.

Fuchsia is still in its nascent stage and there is a lot more development to be done by Google. What you have seen is very primary phase of this OS. People may make assumptions that this Fuchsia will replace Android and Chrome OS; but these can be mere speculations as there is no confirmed statement from the official sources, i.e. Google. You should wait for the Google I/O conference, which is coming soon.
