iOS 10 Message App has got some interesting features like Digital Touch, Bubble effects, and Screen effects to spice up your iMessage conversation. And now, you can also send handwritten messages on iPhone in iOS 10 or iOS 11.
I love to send a personalized message from my iPhone in my own handwriting and one of the most interesting things I like about this feature is that when you send a handwritten message to your friends and family, they will receive the animated message as if you had written in front of them.
How to Send Handwritten Messages on iPhone in iOS 10 & iOS 11
Step #1: Launch Messages app on iPhone.
Step #2: From the list of contacts, choose the one whom you want to send a handwritten message.
Step #3: Tap on iMessage text field.
Step #4: Now hold your iPhone in landscape mode.
Step #5: You will see a blank white space on your phone.
Step #6: Below that blank space, you will also notice some ready-to-use pre-written messages to convey your emotions. You can use ‘Hello’, ‘Thank You’, ‘Awesome‘, ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘Congratulations’, ‘Thinking of You’, ‘I’m Sorry’ etc.
Step #7: You can send customized handwritten messages by tapping on handwriting button seen at the bottom right corner of your iPhone.
Now you can write anything on the screen; to get more space, tap on the arrow button on the right.
Tap on keyboard icon to type in regular text in landscape mode.
To clear the space, tap on Clear button from the top left corner.
You can also undo your handwritten text by tapping on Undo button from the top left corner of the phone screen.
Step #8: Finally, tap on Done from the top right corner of iPhone screen.
Step #9: You can also type a message in the text field. And then tap on the Send button.
How to Send Pre-written Messages in iOS 10 or iOS 11
You can use pre-written messages to save time and energy.
Step #1: Follow steps from 1 to 5 as written above.
Step #2: Below the blank white space, you can notice pre-written messages like ‘Hello’, ‘Thank You’, ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘Congratulations’, ‘Thinking of You’, ‘I’m Sorry’ etc.
Step #3: Tap on any pre-written message and tap on Done. Now send the message to the contact.
How to Send Handwritten iMessages in iOS 11 or iOS 10 on iPad
In your iPad, there is a button on the keyboard that allows you to use handwriting screen.
Step #1: Open the Messages app on iPad.
Step #2: Select a contact you wish to send a handwritten message to.
Step #3: Tap on iMessage text field in iPad.
Step #4: A handwriting button appears at the bottom of the keyboard; tap on it.
Step #5: A white blank space will appear on iPad screen. Now you can scribble or sketch anything with your fingers.
This is how you can send handwritten iMessages on your iPad. On your iPad, it will be a better experience to write messages as iPad offers bigger screen space.
