Check Mute Switch

I know this is a very basic thing but sometimes users forgot to unmute the switch. So if you have kept your iPhone on mute then turn it off.

Check Volume Level

Check the volume of your iOS device, if the sound is too low then increase it.

Check Do Not Disturb

If you have enabled DND on your iOS device then simply disable it.

Delete Current Alarms & Create New Ones

I use at least three alarms on my iPhone; a wake-up alarm, sugar alarm, and movie alarm (when any satellite channel is going to air my favorite flick). To get rid of alarm issue, I deleted all my alarms from my phone and then set them again.

Step #1: Open Clock app from the home screen of your iPhone or iPad.

Tap on Alarm App on iPhone

Step #2: From the bottom menu, tap on Alarm.

Tap on Alarm Tab in iPhone Alarm App

Step #3: This will show you all your alarms; tap on Edit button from the top left corner.

Tap on Edit in iPhone Alarm App

Step #4: All your alarms will be now in Edit mode with a red button before each one; tap on that red circle.

Step #5: You can now see a Delete box appears from the right side. Now delete that alarm by tapping on that Delete box.

Delete All Existing Alarm on iPhone

Go ahead and delete all your alarms by following the same method.

Once all alarms are deleted from the app, you need to restart your device. After the launch of iPhone 7, Apple has made some changes in the method of restarting iPhones. We have created dedicated tutorials to restart and force restart your devices:

Many users have experienced that their iPhones keep restarting; if you also face similar issue, check our guide to fix iPhone keeps restarting problem.

When your iPhone is restarted, go to Clock app and then create new alarms. When in Alarm interface, tap on ‘+’ icon from the top right corner and then follow steps on screen.

Uninstall Third-Party Alarm Apps

Many users like to use third-party alarm apps on their iPhones and iPads; this results into collision between your stock app and the one you have downloaded from the App Store. I think the stock app is cool enough to give you good results. You can quickly delete third-party alarm apps: press and hold the app until it begins to wiggle; next, tap on ‘X’ icon appears on the app to delete that app.

Update Software

For the best use of your iPhone, you need to keep your device updated to the latest software update. A software update can fix many minor bugs on your iPhone; at the same time, it makes your phone more secure. Run a check on your iPhone if any iOS update is pending; if yes, you should immediately update your phone (use Wi-fi connection only).

Reset All Settings

When you are set to reset all settings on your iPhone, you should know that this action will remove all your Wi-fi passwords and website logins. However, your data will remain secure.

Step #1: Launch Settings and then tap on General.

Launch Settings and tap on General on iPhone and iPad

Step #2: Now scroll down and tap on Reset.

Step #3: Next, you need to tap on Reset All Settings.

Step #4: If you have set up a passcode on your phone, you will be prompted to enter that six-digit passcode here.

Simply type in your passcode and then go ahead.

Restore as New

This should be your last action taken on your iPhone or iPad if Alarm app is not working. Given the petty issue of alarm, you may not have to take this extreme measure. When all your attempts fail, you can restore your iPhone or iPad from iTunes.
