Create a Nintendo Account on Personal Computer

Step #1: Launch Nintendo accounts site and next, click on ‘Create Nintendo Account’.

Step #2: Next, you will be landed on Nintendo account creation page, where you will find two options: Create a Nintendo Account for a child and Create your Nintendo Account. You need to click on Create your Nintendo Account.

Step #3: Fill up the details like nickname, email address etc. When you come down to Country/region of residence, you have to select one from Japan, Americas, Europe, Australia/NZ. Once you select Country/region of residence, click on ‘Submit’ button.

Step #4: You will receive a verification code on your email address from Nintendo. Enter that code and hit Verify button.

You have now created your Nintendo account for that country. Next, you can go ahead with Nintendo Switch.

Connect Nintendo Account to the Switch

You can connect your Nintendo Account with the new user if you haven’t set up your Nintendo Switch till now. And if you have already set up the console, you can follow the steps below.

Step #1: Launch System Settings on your Nintendo Switch.

Step #2: Scroll down to ‘Users’ and tap on ‘Add User’ option.

Step #3: Select your nickname and profile icon. Note that your nickname should not be different from the one you have used while creating Nintendo account on computer.

Step #4: Here, you will be prompted to either Sign In and Link or Create Account. You need to tap on Sign In and Link button.

Step #5: Next, tap on ‘Sign in using an e-mail address or sign-in ID’. Type in your email address and password, and then tap on ‘Sign In’.

It is done! Now you can access Nintendo eShop from any country you have selected in Country/region of residence.
