After the announcement of Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X in September 2017, and therefore, many Android phone users have switched to iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus or iPhone X phones. And now if you are stuck at how to migrate your photos and contacts from the Android to iPhone 8, 8 Plus or iPhone X, this information can help you a lot.

Now, moving your photos, contacts, and other data from Android to iPhone & iPad is easy. Apple has already floated a beautiful app on Google Play Store for users who want to switch to iPhone.

Move to iOS is arguably the only app Apple has developed and uploaded on Google Play Store; surprisingly two rival companies have shaken hands for the benefit of users. Anyway, you should download Move to iOS from Google Play Store on your Android phone.

Note that with this app, you can transfer only photos, contacts, calendars, and accounts from Android to iPhone and iPad. You can’t move apps (they are not compatible), music or any of your passwords. Furthermore, you can move data from an Android phone or tablet to an iPhone/iPad running iOS 9 or later.

How to Move Your Photos, Contacts, and Other Data from Android to iPhone and iPad

How to Transfer Photos and Contacts from Android to iPhone 8, 8 Plus or iPhone X and iPad

Step #1: Set up your iPhone/iPad until you reach the screen “Apps & Data“.

Step #2: Tap on “Move Data from Android” option.

Step #3: Open Google Play Store on your Android phone/tablet, and search Move to iOS.

Step #4: Launch the Move to iOS app.

Step #5: Tap on Install.

Step #6: Tap on Accept button.

Step #7: Once the app is installed, tap on Open.

Step #8: Now tap Continue on iPhone/iPad and Android phone.

Step #9: Tap on Agree and then Next on the Android phone/tablet.

Step #10: Type in the 12-digit code on your Android device; this code is displayed on iPhone/iPad.

Once you enter the code, your Android phone/tablet will connect with your iPhone/iPad over a peer-to-peer Wi-Fi connection and decide what data to be shifted.

You will be asked if you wish to move your Google Account info; this will help you quickly log in on your new iPhone or iPad. Moreover, you will also be asked to move Chrome bookmarks, text messages, contacts, and the photos and videos in your camera roll. You can select whatever you want to transfer.

Now all your photos, contacts and other data will be transferred from Android phone/tablet to iPhone/iPad and will be placed properly into the corresponding apps. Once the transfer is complete, two devices will disconnect; you will be asked by Android to take your old device to the Apple Store, where Apple will recycle your Android device for free.

After this process is completed, tap on Continue Setting Up iPhone/ Continue Setting Up iPad and continue setting up a new Apple ID or log into your current Apple ID.

Once the set-up process is done, you will be asked to log in to the accounts you have moved from your Android device. Fill in the details and you are all set to use your new iPhone/iPad.

During this process, the transfer speed depends on how sound your Wi-Fi connection is and how much data you transfer; if you are moving many photos and videos, the process will take much time.

This entire process may take 10 minutes of yours. If you face any technical trouble while transferring photos and contacts from Android to iPhone, you can share the issue here on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+.
