As everyone surely knows by now, Apple is expected to launch its next-generation iPhone lineup in September. We can be sure that this is going to happen in September because Apple follows this launch pattern every year. We don’t have that much information about iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Max but now, we got lucky and the model numbers for the two iPhone have been revealed by the Eurasian Economic Commission regulatory database. Not just that, but the database also contains information about the highly anticipated iPhone XR’s successor.
Eurasian Economic Commission
Before we kick things off, we want to mention that Apple is known for “showcasing” its upcoming devices on the Eurasian Economic Commission. Every time Apple is getting ready to launch a new device, it first posts its model numbers on the Eurasian Economic Commission database. This is exactly what happened when Apple listed the model numbers of the recently launched iPad Air and iPad Mini 5 which hit the markets a couple of months after they were listed.
The reason why Apple is listing its iPhone 11 model numbers on the Eurasian Economic Commission is because it is currently adding the finishing touches to its new iPhone lineup and wants for all of them to be approved. Nonetheless, here are the leaked model numbers: A2111, A2160, A2161, A2215, A2216, A2217, A2218, A2219, A2220, A2221, and A2223.
iPhone XR’s Successor
The model numbers A2111, A2161 and A2215 represent iPhone XR’s successor. iPhone XR was Apple’s first attempt at an “affordable iPhone” and to everyone’s surprise, iPhone XR was quite successful, especially in the US where most Apple fans decided to go with a new iPhone XR instead of an iPhone X or iPhone XS. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone that Apple is looking to replicate that success in 2019-2020 by launching a more powerful and a little bit more expensive version of iPhone XR.
iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max
The rest of the model numbers that Apple has listed on the Eurasian Economic Commission are for the highly anticipated iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max. The reason why these two iPhones have so many model numbers is not because there will be multiple versions of them, but because Apple launches its iPhones in different geographies with the option of locked and unlocked devices. In addition, Apple will launch a special version of iPhone 11 that supports dual-SIM service but this one will be exclusive to Chinese residents.
Top Five iPhone 11 Features:
Even though there isn’t that much information about iPhone 11 on the internet, we already have a pretty good idea of what to expect thanks to leaked pictures and leaked data from Apple’s headquarters. Therefore, we want to go over the top five features and hardware improvements that iPhone 11 will bring when it launches in September. Without any further ado, let’s get right into it.
#1 Following Tradition
Apple is known for taking huge risks when it comes to the design of its iPhones, but this is not going to be the case in 2019. Apple revolutionized the smartphone back in 2017 when it launched iPhone X with a full-screen design that was paired with a top-notch display. Most smartphone fans disliked the design at first due to the top-notch, but soon after, all other tech companies started following in Apple’s footsteps and implementing similar designs. Apple doesn’t really have any reasons to go with a new design and as we all know, Apple is going to stick with its key selling features for as long as possible. Just look at the design of iPhone 6S which was used for two more generations.
#2 Triple Lens Camera
As we can clearly see in the leaked iPhone 11 concept picture that is featured above, iPhone 11 will ship with three cameras on its rear side instead of the usual two. This means that Apple is in fact going to bring some design and hardware changes, just that they will be featured on the back side of iPhone 11. We don’t have any official information on what kind of lens Apple is using for the triple-camera setup. However, Apple’s iPhones are renowned for the high-quality pictures that they can snap and therefore, we can be more than sure that iPhone 11 will ship with incredible camera specs.
#3 New Display
Even though Apple might not change the design of the display, Apple is going to some serious changes to the display technology. According to multiple reports, iPhone 11 will be equipped with a 5.8-inches display, just like iPhone XS. However, the difference between iPhone 11 and iPhone XS is that iPhone 11’s display will feature smaller bezels.
#4 5G Technology
Leaving the display and the cameras aside, let’s go over the most important “under the hood” hardware change that Apple is going to make to iPhone 11. 5G technology is all the latest talk in the smartphone industry and from the looks of it, all tech manufacturers who will opt out of 5G support will see a drop in fans.
People want faster internet connections and this is exactly what 5G is offering them. We can be sure that iPhone 11 will feature 5G support, especially since Samsung is getting ready to launch a special 5G version of the flagship Galaxy S10.
#5 Two-Way Wireless Charging
The last iPhone 11 top feature that we want to cover is also the coolest one. iPhone 11 is going to be equipped with a special technology called two-way wireless charging. Just as the feature’s name implies, iPhone 11 users will be able to charge other devices such as their Apple Watches for example.
