Method #1: Transfer Data from One iPhone/iPad to Another using iCloud
Backup Your Previous iPhone to iCloud
Make sure that you have stored all the necessary data in iCloud.
Step #1. Connect your old iPhone to Wi-Fi.
Step #2. Go to ‘Settings’→ Apple ID bar→ iCloud→ Backup.
Step #3. Turn on ‘iCloud Backup’.
Wait for the backup process to complete.
Transfer iCloud Backup to New iPhone
Do note to insert a SIM card in your new iPhone before continuing with the backup restore. Don’t set up your new phone cause it is needed in its basic state. If you have already set it up, undo all those things by deleting it. Go to ‘Settings’→ General→ Reset→ Erase all contents and settings. Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is stable and phone is charged full to avoid any interruption during the transfer process. Now you are ready to transfer your files.
Step #1. On turning on your iPhone, a “Hello” screen will show up.
Step #2. Press ‘Home’ button.
Step #3. Follow the on-screen steps till the Wi-Fi screen turns up.

Method #2: How to Transfer Data from One iPhone to another Using iTunes
Make an iTunes backup of your old iOS device
Step #1. Connect your Apple device to your computer via Lightning cable. (Check this guide if your iTunes don’t show your iPhone)
Step #2. Open iTunes and select your device.
Step #3. Click on check box ‘Encrypt [device] backup’ and create a password. Encrypting your backup saves Health and Activity data from your iOS device. If these data ain’t necessary, don’t follow.
Step #4. Click ‘Back Up Now’ to create unencrypted backup.
Step #5. To ensure that the backup process is successful, go to iTunes menu→ Preferences → Devices. Analyse the device name, date and size of the backup.
Transfer iTunes Backup to Your New iPhone
Insert a SIM card in your new iPhone.
Step #1. On turning on your iPhone, a “Hello” screen will show up.
Step #2. Press ‘Home’ button.
Step #3. Follow the steps till the Wi-Fi screen turns up.
Step #4. Again follow the on-screen instructions till you reach ‘Apps & Data Screen’.
Step #5. Tap on ‘Restore from iTunes’.
Step #6. Connect your new iPhone to the computer where you had taken backup from your old device.
Step #7. Select your device.
Step #8. Click on ‘Restore Backup’. Select the backup by verifying its size and date.
If you are transferring any encrypted backup, you will be prompted to give the password which you have created earlier. Otherwise, the backup restore will be completed successfully without any need for passwords.
