Setting up Personal Hotspot is as easy as ABC. But sometimes, this simple feature doesn’t work and one has to reset network settings on their iOS devices. This is one of the cool features that let you use your iPad or iPhone as a Wifi router or modem. Once you enable wireless Hostpost on iPhone you can easily create a Wi-fi on your Mac or Windows PC when your home or office Wi-Fi network doesn’t work properly. Moreover, by turning on Personal Hotspot on your iOS device, you can lend your internet to other iOS and Android users. Without further ado, let’s setup Personal Hotspot on iPhone and iPad.
Before you go ahead and turn on Personal Hotspot on iPhone X, 8, 8 Plus,7, 7 Plus, 6s, 6s Plus or later devices, you should know why you should enable this feature and how it works.
Why should you enable Personal Hotspot on iPhone?
As mentioned above, a Personal Hotspot turns your iPhone into a Wi-fi hotspot using which, you can run your Mac or Windows PC on that Wi-fi. So whenever your original Wi-fi network faces any technical issue and stops working, you can turn your iPhone into a Wi-fi router and connect your computer to this makeshift router.
How does it work?
Personal Hotspot works only when you turn on your mobile or cellular data on your iPhone. When you turn your iPhone into a modem, you can see a Wi-fi password on the screen of Personal Hotspot. You need to enter that password into your computer to connect it with this new temporary modem, i.e. your iPhone. Note that you can change that password later on so that others cannot misuse it.
IMPORTANT: You must share your Wi-fi password with a person whom you know thoroughly. Otherwise, there are chances that your Wi-fi network is misused by that stranger.
