We previously showed you 18 ways to improve iOS battery life but today, we have something that is dedicated to iPad fans. There is nothing worse than running out of battery in the middle of the day, especially if you do work on your iPad, and we are going to help you prevent that from ever happening again. Today we are going to check out the top 3 best tips and tricks to improve iPad battery life. Let’s jump right into it.
#1 Enable Auto-Brightness
Apple knows that the iPad battery life is not that great and this is why it keeps on introducing features that help enhance it. One of the most useful ones is called Auto-Brightness, and just as its name implies, it will make sure that the screen brightness doesn’t drain too much power.
Follow the next steps to enable the feature: Settings – Accessibility – Display & Text Size – enable Auto-Brightness.
#2 Disable AirDrop
While AirDrop might be a useful feature to have turned on, you have to admit that you don’t use it too often. AirDrop makes it easier to share files with other iPhone and iPad owners, but what no one tells you is that it also consumes battery. Fortunately, AirDrop can be disabled or enabled manually whenever you want to send some files.
Follow the next steps to disable AirDrop: Long press the icon for AirPlane mode in the Control Center – Select AirDrop – Tap on “Receiving Off”.
#3 Disable Background App Refresh
Background apps are what kill battery life on most devices and Apple’s iPads are not an exception to this rule. Therefore, we highly advise you to disable the background app for refresh function.
Follow the next steps to turn of Background App Refresh: Settings – General –Background App Refresh – Select “off”.
#3 Turn Off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
This might come as a surprise to some of you, but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth use up lots of battery power. This is why you should make sure to keep them turned off whenever you are not using them. If your iPad is not connected via Bluetooth to any device or to the internet via Wi-Fi, then you are better off disabling them.
Follow the next steps to turn of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth: Settings- Tap on Wi-Fi – Turn the Toggle Off. Repeat the same steps for Bluetooth.
