However, the photos will not be seen in your Collections, Years, and Moments. Photos transferred to hidden albums can be watched in the Hidden album and found through search.

How to Hide Photos from Camera Roll in iOS 10 on iPhone and iPad
Hide single image in iOS 10 Photos app on iPhone/iPad
Step #1: Launch Photos app on your iPhone/iPad.
Step #2: Open any photo from the Camera Roll, Selfies or Screenshots.
Step #3: Now tap on Share button seen in the bottom left corner of your phone’s screen.
Step #4: Two lines of menu will appear from the bottom; you can see Hide option in the lower menu. Tap on Hide button to hide the selected photo.
Step #5: A pop-up will swipe up from the bottom asking you to confirm your action. Tap on Hide Photo.
This pop-up clearly mentions that the selected photo will be hidden from Moments, Collections and Years but it will remain visible in Albums.
How to Hide Multiple Photos from iPhone and iPad Camera Roll in iOS 10
Step #1: Open Photos app on iPhone or iPad.
Step #2: Tap on Camera Roll, Selfies or Screenshots.
Step #3: Tap on Select from the top right corner of your phone’s screen.
Step #4: Now select multiple photos you want to hide.
Step #5: Next, tap on Share button.
Step #6: From the lower menu, tap on Hide.
Step #7: A pop-up will ask you to Hide (number) Photos. You can also read that message that these photos will be hidden from Moments, Collections and Years while still visible in Albums.
Confirm your action and multiple photos you have selected will be hidden.
How to Unhide Photos in iOS 10 Photos App on iPhone and iPad
You can hide a collection of photos on your iOS device.
Step #1: Open Photos app.
Step #2: If you are not on the Albums screen, tap open the Albums.
Step #3: Next, tap on Hidden folder, which can be found at the bottom.
Step #4: If you have hidden multiple photos, tap on Select button from the top right corner.
Step #5: Now tap on Select All from the top left corner. If you want to unhide your choice of photos, tap on individual photos.
Step #6: Tap on Share button from the bottom left corner.
Step #7: Two lines of menu will appear from the bottom of phone; tap on Unhide from the lower menu.
Here, Photos app will not ask to confirm your action and entire Hidden folder will disappear from Photos app. You can now see all the hidden photos in Collections, Years, and Moments.
