Back in May 2016, Google came to the stage with its Google Home and Google Assistant. The feature was at first exclusive for their flagship device, the Google Pixel. Currently, the feature is available to all Android devices running on Marshmallow or Nougat. So if you own one of the latest Android phones running on any of these iterations of the OS, then it is likely that you too are stuck with the feature. And a situation arises when you need to disable Google Assistant on Android Phone.
And to turn Google Assistant off on your Android, you need to follow this tutorial. With Google Assistant on your device, you simply have to long press on the home button to call on your Virtual Assistant. Also, you can activate the assistant by calling “Ok Google” and going about with vocal commands. Furthermore, there is much more functionality which surely makes the feature quite impressive.
However, what happens if you don’t like Google Assistant? You might have been getting all your work done through Google Now, and don’t like the change. So is there a way to revert to the old Google Now feature? Luckily there is; so without further ado, let’s get into how you can turn off Google Assistant on your Android Device.

In Conclusion
As we discussed, turning off Google Assistant will bring back the familiar Google Now, which might be the driving reason behind you disabling the feature. However, deactivating the feature will also improve your battery life.
