Before you begin to cast your VR to Chromecast, you need to connect all devices to the same Wi-Fi network. When you launch the companion app for the first time, it will show you the process to set up device; this process can be different in each unit.
Google Home is useful app for you to manage Chromecasts, Android TV boxes, and Google Home units on your network. Therefore, experts recommend downloading this app.
Step #1: Launch Google Home’s menu by swiping from left side. Next, you need to select the option to ‘Cast screen/audio’.

Step #1: You cannot cast your VR content from an iPhone to Chromecast; reason is simple: the two devices do not match. Hence, you need an Apple TV to transmit your VR experience from iPhone.
Step #2: On your iOS device, swipe up from the bottom to bring up Control Center; next, choose ‘AirPlay Mirroring and tap your Apple TV.
Step #3: Now you can watch everything that is running on your iPhone on the bigger screen of TV.
Now you can launch your VR viewer’s companion app and open a VR app. Next, put your iPhone into the VR headset and watch the content cast on TV.
You should note that there is remarkable difference between the content on VR headset and its transmission on Chromecast or Apple TV. On your VR, you get to see two similar images on each half of the display, which is transmitted to a single 3D image when you watch it through viewer. As your TV displays exact image or content running on your smartphone, it will relay as the two individual images. You will never get the pleasure of that single image seen on your Android phone or iPhone; however, the other viewers will surely get an idea about what is happening on your phone’s screen.
