With the watchOS 4, Apple has introduced this new feature in Apple Watch also. If you have downloaded and installed watchOS 4 on your Apple Watch, you can easily turn on Flashlight on Apple watch.

Note that it is a feature introduced in the OS and therefore, you can use it on your older Apple Watch other than Apple Watch Series 3.  Let’s check how to use flashlight in watchOS 4 on Apple Watch.

How to Turn Apple Watch into a Flashlight

How to Turn ON / OFF Flashlight on Apple Watch in WatchOS 4

Step #1: Launch watch face on your Apple Watch.

Step #2: Bring up Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of your watch.

Step #3: The newly designed Control Center will have Flashlight icon among other features.

Step #4: Here, you need to tap on Flashlight icon.

Unlike iPhone’s Flashlight feature, Apple Watch offers three different modes in Flashlight: white, flashing white, and red. You can use red mode when you don’t want to call attention to yourself.

Step #5: To select any one mode, you need to swipe horizontally on watch screen and choose any one mode by tapping on it.

Step #6: To turn off Flashlight, simply swipe down from the top of watch screen and tap on Dismiss.

That’s it!

You should use this Flashlight feature very carefully so that Apple Watch battery doesn’t get drained quickly. Remember that your smart watch has battery life of nearly 18 hours; if you use flashlight without any discretion, you need to fix Apple Watch battery drain issues if you are running it on watchOS 4.

To keep your Apple Watch charged, you can carry the best Apple Watch portable chargers and Apple Watch power banks with you.
