What makes Apple Watches such amazing devices is the fact that they are equipped with a plethora of useful features. That’s not all. Apple is constantly updating watchOS with improvements and Nightstand Mode is the perfect example of that.
The new mode was introduced in a recent watchOS update and when it is enabled and the Apple Watch is charging, the screen will automatically turn into a digital bedside clock. Today we are going to show you how to use Nightstand Mode and how to get the most out of the feature.
What is Nightstand Mode?
As previously mentioned, the Nightstand Mode transforms your Apple Watch into a bedside watch. This only happens when the feature is enabled and the wearable device is plugged into a charger.
The display will now show the current time & date and alarm. Things don’t end here; the Apple Watch will also go to sleep to avoid using power and wake up when you nudge it or the alarm starts.
How to Enable Nightstand Mode from Apple Watch
Follow the steps below to enable Nightstand Mode on all Apple Watch modes:
- Access the Settings panel on the smartwatch;
- Head over to the General menu;
- Scroll down and tap on the Nightstand Mode option;
- All that’s left is to toggle on the mode.
After following the steps above, Nightstand Mode will be enabled. The mode will kick in when you put the Apple Watch to charge. If you feel like the bedside clock display doesn’t look good, then you can always toggle off the mode.
How to Enable Nightstand Mode from iPhone
If you want to enable the Nightstand Mode but don’t want to get out of bed, then you should be pleased to know that there is an alternative solution. The mode can also be enabled from an iPhone. Follow the steps below:
